A Manganese(II) Coordination Polymer with the Ligands ­Azide and Picolinate: Synthesis, Structure, and Magnetic Properties†

The two dimensional MnII coordination polymer [Mn3(pic)2(N3)4(CH3OH)]n (1) with the ligands azide and picolinic acid (Hpic) was synthesized and characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and powder and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Meanwhile, analysis of the magnetic properties revealed antiferromagnetic exchange for polymer 1.
