Ocorrência de Eumops patagonicus Thomas, 1924 no limite dos biomas Chaco e Pantanal, Centro-Oeste do Brasil

Occurrence of Eumops patagonicus Thomas, 1924 on the edge of the Pantanal wetland and Paraguayan chaco biomes, mid-western Brazil. The Patagonian Dwarf Bonneted bat Eumops patagonicus O. Thomas, 1924 occurs in Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina, and southern Brazil. Until recently its occurrence in Brazil was limited to the state of Rio Grande do Sul. This study reports the occurrence of E. patagonicus in the southern region of the Brazilian Pantanal and the northern region of the Paraguayan Chaco, bringing to five the total of species of this genus recorded for the Mato Grosso do Sul. This report extends to 1000 km the earlier recorded for this species in Brazil.
