Study on the metabolites of endophytic fungus Colletotrichum sp. from Elaeagnus umbellata Thunb.

Objective To investigate the chemical constituents from the fermented substrate of endophytic fungus Colletotrichum sp.isolated from Elaeagnus umbellata Thunb.in Shanghai.Methods The chemical constituents were isolated by using the solvent extraction,silica gel chromatography and HPLC chromatography.The structures were identified on the basis of mass spectrum,and 1H-NMR.Results Seven compounds were identified from endophytic fungus Colletotrichum sp.isolated from Elaeagnus umbellata Thunb,which were 1H-indole-3-aceticacid,ethyl ester(1),indole-3-ethyl acetate(2),indole-3-acetamide(3),-(2-hydroxypropionylamino)benzamide(4),nectriapyrone(5),3-methylchromone(6) and phenylacetic acid(7)on the basis of spectroscopic data analysis.Conclusions The compound 4,5 and 6 were isolated from Colletotrichum sp.
