In serum of patients with bronchial asthma and airway inflammation of vitamin D

Objective To investigate the relationship of serum vitamin D and airway inflammation in bronchial asthma patients.Methods 200 cases of bronchial asthma patients tested serum vitamin D,IL-2 and TNF-a concentration,recording the number of acute attack of asthma in two years,to implore relationship of serum vitamin D and IL-2,TNF-a.Results bronchial asthma complicated with low vitamin D patients accounted for 51.5%,which merged with low vitamin D in patients with acute attack of bronchial asthma and the number of IL-2,TNF-a were higher than those with low vitamin D patients,(P0.05).Conclusion The serum vitamin D is closely related to airway inflammation and acute attack frequency in bronchial asthma patients.
