Reprint of: New cationic organometallic phosphane ligands and their coordination to gold(I)

Abstract Two novel metallated phosphino ligands [(η 5 -Cp)Fe(η 6 -C 6 H 5 PPh 2 )](PF 6 ) and [(η 5 -Cp)Fe(η 6 -1,2-C 6 H 4 (PPh 2 ) 2 )](PF 6 ) have successfully been synthesized. Therein, the phosphane moieties are directly bound to the cationic (η 5 -Cp)Fe fragment. By reaction of [(η 5 -Cp)Fe(η 6 -C 6 H 5 PPh 2 )](PF 6 ) with (thiophene)AuCl, the heterobimetallic complex [(η 5 -Cp)Fe(η 6 -C 6 H 5 PPh 2 (AuCl))][PF 6 ] was obtained in good yields. It was characterized spectroscopically as well as by X-ray structure analysis.
