Method of treatment of effluents containing metals by wet oxidation in the presence of sludge

The invention relates to the treatment of effluents containing metals, particularly but not exclusively from various industrial or agricultural activities. The aqueous effluent treatment process containing metals or metal compounds are, according to the invention, a step of mixing said effluent with sewage sludge from wastewater treatment plants and at least one oxidation step of said wet mixture .
