Metodologias ativas: uma análise sobre seu uso e sobre a superação de desafios no Ensino Superior

Many Higher Education institutions are currently adopting Active Methodologies as innovative educational practices in their courses, so there is a need to promote discussions on the topic. The objective was to analyze and discuss the challenges and potential of using active methodologies in Higher Education, as well as the training of teachers to avoid possible situations that are harmful to learning. For this, a theoretical study was carried out within a bibliographic research with a qualitative approach. It was found that there is a lot of information about the benefits of Active Methodologies, but on the other hand, there is a limited availability of information about the challenges that education professionals may encounter when adopting them in Higher Education. Active Methodologies, when well applied, can be of great benefit, if used in the right context, but for this, both initial and continuing training is extremely important in institutions that aim to use Active Learning Methodologies.
