Prostatic Urethral Lift

Abstract The Urolift is a minimally invasive device that alleviates benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)–induced lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). In contrast to most other minimally invasive surgeries for BPH/LUTS, the Urolift operates mechanically instead of relying on prostate tissue removal. Research studies have demonstrated all measured improvements in International Prostate Symptom Score, urinary flow, and quality of life remained stable through the final follow-up interval. This chapter will navigate through the clinical effectiveness of Urolift along with the future directions for the procedure.
