Биологический заказник областного значения «Светлинский» и его роль в охране и воспроизводстве авифауны

The article is concerned with data on the biological reserve of regional importance «Svetlinsky». The nature reservation has a biological profile and is intended for the maintenance, reproduction and restoration of objects of animal kingdom, particularly avian fauna. There are about 220 species of birds, including 36 species listed in the Red Book of various ranges. Over the past 15 years a number of new species have been registered. The role of coastal meadow areas, lakes, grasslands and farm landscapes (fields, arable land) in the life of birds is described. The steppe land plots of the biological reservation and the adjoining agrocenoses are important feeding places for the migrating types of birds. The complex of measures for protection and reproduction of waterfowl avian resources is considered. The results of the study led to the conclusion that the «Svetlinsky» biological reservation of regional importance is fully providing the complex of measures aimed to preserve and restore the diversity of avian fauna.
