Research advancement of association between WWOX gene and lung cancer

WW domain containing oxidoreductase gene(WWOX),located at chromosome 16q23.3-24.1 in the region recognized as the common fragile site FRA16D, is considered to be a tumor suppressor gene involved in lung cancer. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer morbidity and mortality. To study and research WWOX gene will conduce to early clinical diagnosis,cure and prevention for lung cancer.
