The invention discloses a mining area illegal mining prevention monitoring and positioning method. The method comprises the following steps: earthquake source signals are acquired; the acquired signal are obtained, and the time of each signal at which the signal is acquired is recorded; the acquired signals are processed, and relative coordinates are obtained through a PSO-Broyden mixed algorithm; the relative coordinates are converted into actual GPS coordinates; and GPS coordinates are in butt joint with a geographical information system map to realize the GPS positioning of the illegal mining point position. The invention also discloses a mining area illegal mining prevention monitoring and positioning method device. The mining area illegal mining prevention monitoring and positioning method device comprises a seismometer, a signal acquisition device and a computer or other mobile portable devices. The seismometer is installed in a tunnel or a rock stratum. The seismometer is connected with the input end of the signal acquisition device. The output end of the signal acquisition device is connected with the computer or other mobile portable devices. According to the invention, the specific geographical position of the illegal mining shotpoint can be intuitively displayed on an electronic map of the geographical information system, advantages of convenience, good practicability and accurate positioning can be realized, and the method and the device of the invention is used in mining area illegal mining prevention monitoring.
