Isotopic composition of sulfur in uranium rolls and its genetic significance

1973
The isotopic composition of the sulfur in sulfides associated with uranium ores and in sulfates of stratal waters of orebearing layers was studied in individual ore bodies. It was established that sulfides in uranium rolls are formed by the action of hydrogen sulfide originafing primarily in situ in the biogenic reduction of sulfates of the stratal waters. The distribution of sulfur isotopes in the individual rolls is explained by the conditions in which the individual ore bodies are formed. (tr-auth)
