Application of Self-Compacting Concrete in the Lining of Flood-Discharge Tunnel of Zhaikou Reservoir

This paper introduced the application of self-compacting concrete to the reinforced lining of flood-discharge tunnel in Zhaikou Reservoir,which included the process of mix-design,mixing,warehousing and pouring.The application of self-compacting concrete had not only solved the existing problem of construction in the process of lining,but also effectively improved the mechanical properties,compactness and durability.Furthermore it had not need vibration molding.self-compacting concrete was very suitable to the complex shape,small-size section and the thin wall structure with higher reinforcement rates,and also useful for filling rock-fill concrete and concrete pouring.
