Method and device for one- or two-sided application

The invention relates to a method for single- or double-sided application from a liquid to a paste-like medium, preferably starch, to a corrugated base paper material web, whereby, according to the invention, the pre-dried material web (B) is first coated with the single- or double-sided application and then run through a press nip (N). It is of advantage whereby, after the press nip, the material web is supported, essentially free of free tension, until a first drying cylinder (18) of a drying group (19) is reached. Said method is carried out using a device, comprising a support roller (15) and a support roller (7), arranged at a distance from the first roller, both supporting an endless belt (6), which essentially fully supports said web, amongst others after the press nip (N).
