Consumer defense and insurance laws. A constant tension in Argentinean law

The Consumption Law (or Consumer Law, depending on the posture adopted), since the enactment of Law 24,240 in 1993, and more exactly, with the express incorporation of article 42 in the 1994 amended Constitution, which enshrines the rights of consumers and users, has overturned a system anchored in the ideas of the French Revolution (source of the current Argentinean Civil Code), giving way to a system adjusted to the consumer society, overcrow­ded and biased, that has forced the review of postures, analysis and even beliefs. From there, this work intends to outline the changes and debates generated in an exact field such as the insurance practice.
