Research on the risk sexual behavior and HIV infection in students.

Objective To investigate the incidence of risk sexual behavior and STD infection.Methods Using stratified cluster method,with questionnaire and HIV antibody and syphilis antibody testing,investigation was performed to students from junior to senior in a comprehensive university in Hangzhou,Zhejiang in June,2006.Results Of 3 326 students investigated,407 had sexual behaviors reported by themselves;14.5% of boys and 7.13% of girls investigated had sexual behaviors.Of the 407,54.5% replied to receive STD preventive intervention services;13.5% had more than 1 fixed sex partner in the past year;15.0% had casual partner;and 11.1% had sex behavior for money.8.4% of the boys had homosexual partner,and 52.8% of them used condoms during the latest sexual behavior.No positive results of HIV or syphilis antibody were found in the 1 608 serum samples.Conclusion Incidence of sexual behavior in college students has elevated in the past years.Interventions such as promotion of condom use should be strengthened.
