The present invention provides an alkoxy-containing triarylamine substituted fluorene units and application of organic dye in the dye-donor sensitized solar cell belongs to the field of organic dyes. The organic dye alkoxy-substituted fluorene units as triarylamine donor, containing fluorene structural units alkoxy possible to improve the ability of the dye to the electron-pushing portion while using fluorene unit can also be reduced molecular aggregation , reduce recombination battery, improve the open circuit voltage of the battery, the introduction of alkyl chains in the molecular aggregation while reducing the solubility of the dye can be improved to facilitate device optimization. Scheme organic dye of the present invention provides a simple, easily purified; dye-sensitized solar cell prepared from an organic dye of the present invention, the open circuit voltage of 948 mV, short-circuit photocurrent of 14.36 mA per square centimeter, the power conversion efficiency of 9.9 %.
