Study on a Novel Deep-UV Nonlinear Optical Crystal RbBe_2BO_3F_2

RbBe2BO3F2(RBBF) powders were prepared via solid-state reaction. The sizeable crystals of RBBF have been obtained by flux method. Its crystal structure has been determined by XRD and the space group proved to be R32,belonging to the uniaxial class. The cell parameters are a=0.44341(9) nm,c=0.19758(5) nm,Z=3. The cut-off wavelength and birefringence have been determined as 160 nm and 0.075,respectively.
