Deterioro auditivo por exposición a música en adolescentes argentinos

A program of Conservation and Promotion of Hearing in Adolescents was developed by Cintra (Argentina), 45 adolescents were studied at two times: the 14/15 and 17/18 years of age, were apply hearing and psychosocial tests. Retest showed decreases in hearing thresholds of all assessed adolescents, they were divided in two groups: with Slight Decrease and with Significant Decreases. In both groups, the increase was significantly in the levels of exposure to music between Test and Retest, it means a real risk to hearing health.
