Application of Reformed Pollution Index Method to Urban Noise Evaluation

Noise environment quality is not evaluated factually and availably using traditional pollution index method due to complicated noise source and radiating path as well as inconspicuous distribution rule and difference of the noise perception between dissimilar crowds.Taking the influence of higher noise grade into account,improved pollution index method was used to evaluate urban noise environment quality,with result comparing with that of fuzzy mathematics.Results showed that the improved method is feasible and reliable.
