A New, Effective Delayed Curing Anti-wrinkle Catalytic System for Cotton Fabrics with Triethylenediamine

2021
Delayed-curing anti-wrinkle finishing was a kind of anti-wrinkle finishing method of ready-to-wear garments. It was transported the sensitized fabric without cross-linking reaction to the garment factory, processed into garments and then cured for cross-linked with fabrics to achieve the purpose of removing wrinkles between pleats. The conventional magnesium chloride-hydrochloric acid system was difficult to ensure that the dihydroxymethyl dihydroxyethyl ethylene urea (2D resin)-finished fabric will not been cross-linked during storage. In order to obtain the excellent storage stability and anti-wrinkle property, a new catalytic system suitable for etherification 2D resin finishing agent was constructed in this article: triethylenediamine-hydrochloric acid-magnesium chloride catalytic system. The composition of the new catalytic systems was: triethylenediamine 0.25 mol/l, hydrochloric acid 0.263 mol/l, magnesium chloride 0.04 mol/l. The results show that the storage stability of the sensitized fabric was greatly improved after the sensitized fabric was stored at 40 °C for 70 day. After curing, anti-wrinkle property of cotton fabrics after stored was similar to cotton fabrics treated with conventional magnesium chloride-hydrochloric acid system, particularly the tensile strength rate has increased by 20 %.
