LASER INDUCED REACTION OF ELECTRON TRANSFER FROM METHIONINE AND ITS DIPEPTIDES TO TRIPLET 4-NITROQUINOLINE 1-OXIDE
1999
Photochemical reactions of 4-nitroquinoline 1-oxide (4NQO) with D-methionine (Met) and its dipeptides have been studied by using 248nm laser flash photolysis technique. Triplet state of 4NQO can be quenched by Met and its dipeptides, and produce radicals via electron transfer between triplet excited state of 4NQO and Met-containing compounds.
