Method of treating blepharitis

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and relates to the treatment of demodectic blepharitis. Method includes cryogenic action by contact application of a bulky metal element. Wherein, a cryoapplicator cooled from liquid nitrogen is used in the form of a microcrack from the permeable-porous nickel titanium. Scanning rolling of the cryoapplicator is applied around the edges of the eyelids with an exposure of 5–7 seconds to cryoexposure per eyelid, with a 4-5-fold repetition per session after thawing of the tissue. Additionally, pharmacological agents are used in the form of an alcohol solution of valocordin for external treatment of eyelid edges or antibacterial preparations for instillation after the completion of cryotherapy.
