Study of stigma and social support in depressive patients

Objective 80 cases of patients with depression were assessed with internalized stigma of mental illness scale,Zung-self-rating depression scale and social support questionnaire.And we analysed the related factors of stigma.Results 1)Patients with depression had a higher level of stigma.2)There were significant difference between depressive patients and control group in total scores,subjective support,objective support and utilization of support.3)Stigma of depressive patients had significant correlation with education,depression and social support.Conclusion Stigma of depressive patients is on higher level.And their social support level is poor.We should pay enough attention in clinical work.
