Formulas and results of intraocular lens implantation

The optical eye length cannot be measured by ultrasound because the macular cones do not respond to ultrasound. Given an apopropriate equipment the only measurable distance by ultrasound is the distance to the inner retinal surface, i.e. the inner eye length. To add 0.2 mm to the inner eye length gives us the optical eye length.
