Serum protein heterogeneity in some inbred rat strains studied by electrophoretic methods
1968
Abstract 1. 1. The polymorphism of some rat serum proteins, such as ceruloplasmin, haptoglobin and probably hemopexin, has been shown by means of two-dimensional electrophoresis, agar—starch-gel and starch—agar-gel, with subsequent immunoprecipitation, and by means of analytical detection methods. 2. 2. The analysis of serum proteins of the inbred rat strains BP, Lewis, AVN, BD II, BD VII and BD VIII has shown that differences in polymorphism are correlated with the rats belonging to a certain strain.
