The production method of cold-bonded pellet for direct reduction shaft furnace and blast furnace is characterized by adopting an improved composite binder whose formula is composed of (wt%) 3.0-8.0% of water glass and 0.4-1.0% of silicasol and/or 1.0-3.0% of bentonite, adding one into the iron ore powder whose grain size is less than 8 mm or iron mud, uniformly mixing, briquetting by using 20-30 MPa pressure and drying the obtained green pellet for 30-60 min. at 100-300 deg.C so as to obtain the required cold-bonded pellet with good mechanical strength and high temp. metallurgical property.
