Effects of the drum height, joint type and bolts on the bearing capacity of composite multi-drum stone columns under static and earthquake loads

2021
Abstract This paper presents some experimental results and main conclusions regarding the effects of the drum height, joint type, and several bolt parameters on the bearing capacity of composite multi-drum stone columns exposed to static and earthquake loads. The presented is based on a review, integration, and synthesis of several previously conducted studies. Given conclusions relate to the practical application of investigated parameters in reconstructions and strengthening of historic stone buildings, as well as in further research of considered effects on composite multi-drum stone columns behaviour.
