The computed tomographic appearances of intra- and extracerebral abscesses

Abstract A retrospective analysis was made of the computed tomographic characteristics of 37 patients with intracranial pyogenic sepsis. Attention is paid to possible reasons for difficulties in the diagnosis of cerebral abscess and subdural empyema. The various aspects of postoperative interpretation are discussed.
