Copper (II) Complexes of Bishydrazone Derivatives: Synthesis, Characterization and Urease Inhibition Studies

2014
Six new Copper(II) complexes with bishydrazone derived from the condensation of 5-chloro-isatin monohydrazone with different substituted benzaldehyde, have been synthesized and characterized byusing various spectroscopic and physicochemical techniques including FT-IR, EI-mass, elemental analysis,UV-Visible, magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements. The magnetic and electronic data indicate square planer geometry. These synthesized complexes were also screened for urease inhibition activity. The result shows that the urease inhibition activity enhanced with the complexation.
