La empresa responsable del siglo XXI: "rentabilidad ajustada a principios"

2008
Humanity faces great challenges. The decisions, policies and strategies that we adopt today and in the coming decades will determine the very future of our species and our world. In this our generation faces a great responsibility but also a great opportunity. Responsible 21st century corporations must commit to encouraging development in the societies where they operate. They must do this for three main reasons: conviction, self-interest and necessity. Corporate responsibility is a major lever for innovation which can help transform corporations and society as a whole by generating social and corporate value. Responsible corporations must work according to principles that can guide them in resolving moral dilemmas. "Profitability adjusted to principles" is an idea that seeks to respond to a growing demand in society which goes beyond mere compliance with legislation. It implies corporations taking on board a commitment to absolute integrity in regard to all their stakeholders.
