Diffraction study of shear transformations in close-packed structures: I. Model of stacking-fault ordering

A simple method for calculating theoretical diffraction patterns of martensitic structures formed by an ordered nucleation of stacking faults is proposed. The method is used for the analysis of the real structures of the β' martensite of copper alloys and 15R and 7Tmartensitic phases of cobalt alloys.
