Spontaneous carotid-cavernous fistula with ophthalmoplegia and facial palsy

A hypertensive patient presenting with facial palsy and ophthalmoplegia following a spontaneous carotid-cavernous fistula is presented. The mechanism of facial palsy in such cases is discussed.
