Reliability Evaluation of Microgrid Considering Electric Vehicles and Demand Response

2018
Electric vehicles (EVs) are flexible demand-side resources that can be combined with demand response (DR) to improve microgrid reliability. This paper studies the reliability assessment of microgrid considering EVs and incentive-based DR (IBDR). Firstly, according to the complementary characteristics of EVs and IBDR users in response speed, the microgrid load reduction mechanism considering EVs and DR is designed. Secondly, the evaluation method of EV controllable potential and the evaluation index of EV charging failure are proposed to measure the impact of EV delay charging on its charging failure. Thirdly, based on the IBDR user comprehensive evaluation and response quantity allocation principle, an IBDR user hierarchical scheduling model is established. Finally, the simulation of the RBTS-Bus6 system is carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy and model. The simulation results show that the proposed microgrid load reduction strategy considering EVs and DR can effectively improve the reliability of the microgrid.
