A cyclic peptide and two pairs of norlignan lignanoside epimers from Selaginella pulvinata.

Abstract A new cyclopeptide, pulvpeptin A (1), two pairs of norlignan lignanosides, tamariscinosides G and H (2, 3), together with five known compounds (4–8) were isolated from Selaginella pulvinata. The structures were elucidated by spectroscopic data and chemical degradation. The activity of tamariscinoside G (2) was evaluated by stimulating glucose uptake in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. The results showed 1.49-fold increase in glucose uptake in 3T3-L1 cells relative to basal.
