Multi-directional instruction generator

PURPOSE: To obtain a comparatively small multi-directional instruction generator which can be manufactured at low cost and easily recognize electric signals. CONSTITUTION: This generator comprises at least a plate 10 having one end 11 and other end 14, strain gages R 1 -R 4 , R 6 -R 8 forming a bridge circuit attached to this plate to detect multi-directional deformations of the plate, when a force F is exerted on the other end 14, a support 12 for cooperating with the one end 11 of the plate 10, links 9, 13a which couple the one end 11 of the plate 10 to the support 12, and a button 16 attached to the other end 14 of the plate 10, so that the other end 14 is pressed to a support point 15 defined by the head of a microswitch 19. By changing the direction of the applied force F with respect to the axial line of the support point 15, a multi-directional instruction is generated. COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
