Studies on abscisic acid in apple seeds.

Abscisic acid (AbA) was found to be present in non-stratified apple seeds. The evidence is based on chromatographic behaviour, fluorescence, UV-spectrum and growth inhibition in a wheat-coleoptile straight-growth test.
