Atoms in hydrogen plasma in strong electric fields
1995
Two-particle states of a hydrogen plasma under the influence of a homogeneous strong electric field and of the density are investigated. The complex rotated Stark-Coulomb-Schr\"odinger equation was solved analytically using complex power series expansions. In this technique one works with square integrable eigenfunctions. Density effects were taken into account as a second-order perturbation of those polynoms. Real and imaginary parts of the energies are determined which give information about location and width of the states.
