Les phénomènes karstiques du rocher de Saint-Eucher (Vaucluse, France), témoins de l'évolution géomorphologique en moyenne Durance depuis le Néogène

1998
The Rock of Saint-Eucher is a limestone hill isolated between two successive valleys of the River Durance: on one side a Neogene valley fossilised by Pliocene deposits and on the other an active quaternary valley. This Rock proves to be particularly rich in karstic features, notably a system of sub-horizontal galleries with a developed length of 1600 m. This note is a first synthesis of the study on this cave and its in-fill materials. By correlating to external morphological and stratigraphic factors it attempts to determine the successive stages in the development of karsts in this area since the Neogene.
