Intramolecularly coordinated organocadmium iodides

Abstract The synthesis of the compounds [L 1 Cd(μ-I)] 2 ( 1 ), L 2 Cd(μ-I) 2 ·Li(THF) 2 ( 2 ), and [L 3 ·CdI 2 ] ( 3 ) with L 1  = {2,6-(Me 2 NCH 2 ) 2 C 6 H 3 ) − }, L 2  = {2,6-[(CH 3 )C N(C 6 H 3 -2′,6′- i Pr 2 )] 2 C 6 H 3 } − and L 3  = {2-[(CH 3 )C N(C 6 H 3 -2,6- i Pr 2 )]-6-(CH 3 O)}C 5 H 3 N) is reported. The compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, 1 H and 13 C NMR spectroscopy, and single crystal X-ray diffractions analyses
