Electroplating conductor roll and production thereof

PURPOSE: To provide an electroplating conductor roll surface structure from which carbide grains are not dropped and capable of maintaining an excellent film characteristic and stabilized surface conditions over a long period. CONSTITUTION: The mixture consisting of 10-60wt.% of a carbide cermet powder and 90-40wt.% of a C-contg. nickel-chromium alloy powder is thermally sprayed over the surface of a roll shell, the thermally sprayed coating film is then heat- treated to redeposit at least a part of the carbide, and the redeposited carbide is dispersed in the thermally sprayed film.
