Effect of preparation condition on the crystal style and luminescence of Mn-doped ZnS nanoparticles

Mn-doped ZnS nanocrystals were prepared by solvothermal methods using the mixture of ethylenediamine and water as solvent.The effect of temperature,mole ratio of Zn to S and concentration of Mn was discussed.The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction,fluorescence spectroscopy and TEM techniques.The results indicate that pure ZnS nanocrystals were obtained only when the temperature was higher than 180℃.ZnS nanocrystals with different crystal style can be prepared by changing the mole ratio of Zn to S.No obvious effect of Mn concentration on the crystal style of ZnS was observed.But the effect on the luminescence was obtained.
