Education in Social Medicine
1985
Institutes for Social Medicine and Occupational Health have been established in many countries since the end of the Second World War, and knowledge concerning the psychology of learning and didactics has also improved. One of the most important innovations is the realisation that not only cognitive experience is essential; rather the affective or emotional dimensions must also be kept in mind. Research into these problems has been conducted by the European Association for Medical Education, the World Health Organization, the World Medical Association and some universities.
