Acompanhamento climático das bacias hidrográficas do rio Mundaú (AL e PE) e do Rio Paraíba (PB)

O monitoramento da variabilidade pluviometrica em certas localidades pode ser efetuado atraves do emprego de indices climaticos. Essa ferramenta e particularmente imprescindivel na regiao das bacias do rio Mundau e do rio Paraiba, pois sao importantes bacias hidrograficas situadas na regiao Nordeste do Brasil (NEB). Analisando a variacao temporal da precipitacao na Bacia do rio Mundau, no periodo de 1974 a 1983, verificou-se uma mudanca nos padroes de precipitacao sendo o “ponto de inflexao” o ano de 1974. Antes disso, no Medio Mundau (MM) e Alto Mundau (AM), os anos foram mais secos e apos 1974 foram mais umidos, ocorrendo o contrario no Baixo Mundau (BM). Ja na Bacia do rio Paraiba, foi encontrado um “ponto de inflexao” na distribuicao de precipitacao na regiao do Alto Paraiba. Ja para as sub-bacias do Medio e Baixo Paraiba, foi verificada semelhanca na alternância entre anos secos e chuvosos ao longo da serie de IAC (Indice de Anomalia de Chuva). ABSTRACT The monitoring of the pluviometric variability in certain localities can be effected through the job of climatic indices. This tool is particularly essential in the region of the basins of the river Mundau and the river Paraiba, therefore they are important situated hidrografic basins in region Northeast of Brazil (NEB). Analyzing the temporal variation of the precipitation in the Basin of the river Mundau, in the period of 1974 the 1983, a change in the precipitation standards was verified being the “point of inflection” the year of 1974. Before this, in the Medio Mundau (MM) and Alto Mundau (AM), the years had been drier and after 1974 had been more humid occurring the opposite in Baixo Mundau (BM). Already in the Basin of the river Paraiba, a “point of inflection” in the precipitation distribution was found in the region of the Alto Paraiba. Already for the sub-basins of the Medio and Baixo Paraiba, similarity in the alternation between dry and rainy years throughout the RAI (rainfall anomaly index) series was verified.
