A simple, practical classification of spinal vascular lesions

Spinal vascular lesions seen at our institution were reviewed and classified into three types: durai and extramedullary arteriovenous fistulae and intramedullary arteriovenous malformations, according to the simplified form originally proposed by Riche and Merland. Representative cases are illustrated for better understanding of these uncommon lesions.
