Hubungan Merokok dengan Kejadian Hipertensi di Desa Kamal Kecamatan Kairatu Barat Kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat

Introduction: Hypertension is one of the causes of premature death in people in the world. Objective: to analyze the relationship between smoking and the incidence of hypertension in Kamal Village, Kairatu Barat District, West Seram District. Methods: The study design was cross-sectional. Data were collected through interviews and blood pressure measurements, then analyzed using the Pearson correlation test and Spearman correlation test. Results: The results of data analysis showed that there was a relationship between the number of cigarettes and the incidence of hypertension (p-value = 0.000), there was a relationship between the length of smoking and the incidence of hypertension (p-value= 0.008) and there was no relationship between the type of cigarette and the incidence of hypertension (p-value = 0.519). Conclusion: The incidence of hypertension is related to the number of cigarettes and duration of smoking. Keywords: hypertension; number of cigarettes; duration of smoking ABSTRAK Pendahuluan: Hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyebab kematian dini masyarakat di dunia. Tujuan: menganalisis hubungan antara merokok dengan kejadian hipertensi di Desa Kamal, Kecamatan Kairatu Barat, Kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat. Metode: Desain penelitian ini yaitu cross-sectional. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan pengukuran tekanan darah, lalu dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson dan uji korelasi Spearman. Hasil: Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara jumlah batang rokok dengan kejadian hipertensi (p-value = 0,000), ada hubungan antara lama merokok dengan kejadian hipertensi (p-value = 0,008) dan tidak ada hubungan anatara jenis rokok dengan kejadian hipertensi (p-value = 0,519). Kesimpulan: Kejadian hipertensi berhubungan dengan jumlah batang rokok dan lama merokok. Kata kunci: hipertensi; jumlah batang rokok; lama merokok
