The effect of chain transfer reactions on the molecular parameters of reactive oligodienes, prepared by radical polymerization: an analysis using a mathematical model☆
1984
Abstract The character and degree of influence of lateral processes of chain transfer on the polymer and solvent by macroradicals and by initiator radicals on distribution according to type of functionality and MMD of the oligomers was determined with the aid of a mathematical model of the radical polymerization process. It was confirmed that in the initiation of diene polymerization by diacyl peroxides, the main contribution to the change in the molecular parameters of the oligomers is the chain transfer reaction with initiator radicals.
