Research progress of immune-inflammatory mechanism in Parkinson′s disease

2019
Pathogenesis of Parkinson′s disease (PD), a common neurodegenerative disease, is not well established. Immune-inflammatory responses are considered to be important in the development and progression of PD, including over-activated microglia, increased inflammatory cytokines, changes in compositions and phenotypes of T lymphocytes, increased antibodies produced by B lymphocytes. Recent studies have found that T cells in PD patients can recognize α-synuclein peptides and become a research hotspot. In this review, we summarize the research progress in innate and adaptive immune-inflammatory responses in pathogenesis of PD. Key words: Parkinson disease; Inflammation; Immunity
