U a typo in Lambert−Beer’s Law, A(λ) = e(λ)ct, renders the equation useless. A slash is missing from the equation, which can be found on page 3 at the beginning of the second paragraph, which should read: The intensity of the 530 nm band can be used to estimate the Mn content in glass according to the Lambert−Beer law, A(λ)/t = e(λ)c, where A(λ) and e(λ) denote the absorbance and molar extinction coefficient at wavelength λ, respectively; t is the thickness of the glass plate; and c is the concentration of Mn ions.
