BALANCE TÉRMICO DE UN MOTOR DE COMBUSTIÓN INTERNA (MCI). CASO DE ESTUDIO: MOTOR DE AUTOMÓVIL MAZDA MODELO 3 – 1.6

2016
In this document we present the performance and results of an analysis of the energy and exergy balance of an internal combustion engine (ICM), considering a Mazda 3 1.6 vehicle engine as a case study. After an experimental research, based on observation and measurement, as well as methods of induction, deduction and synthesis, it was determined, within the main conclusions, that the analysis of the energy and exergy balance contributes to generate ideas for optimization and an more efficient use of hydrocarbons; It was also determined that the engine studied has an average energy efficiency of 29.14% for a speed of 90 km / h and 27.57% for a speed of 50 km / h, thus having a difference of 1.57% due to the different conditions of RPM proposed for the experiment, while the total exergy flow of the system is 24% and 22% for 90 and 50 km / h respectively; these values correspond to other studies conducted on the same topic, which validates the results of the experiment.
